FastTT 2.1 Triathlon Aero Bars
THE WORLD’S #1 TRI BAR JUST GOT FASTER
The FastTT 2.1 Triathlon Aero Bar takes the proven comfort, ergonomics and aerodynamic performance of the FastTT 2.0 and adds a new, more aerodynamic mounting system.
The result is FastTT’s fastest triathlon cockpit yet.
FastTT claims the upgraded 2.1 mounting system saves 5.2 watts compared with the previous 2.0 mounting configuration, reducing drag around one of the most aerodynamically exposed areas of the cockpit.
Designed specifically for triathlon and long-distance racing, the FastTT system supports the hand, forearm and elbow as one continuous aerodynamic structure rather than relying on traditional separate arm cups and extension poles.
The result is a position designed around three priorities:
COMFORT + CONTROL + SPEED = EFFICIENCY
WHAT’S NEW WITH FASTTT 2.1?
The major development for the 2.1 generation is the new aerodynamic mounting system.
Compared with the FastTT 2.0, the revised mounting arrangement reduces the frontal and exposed hardware around the cockpit, creating a cleaner transition between the bike, mount and aerobar.
FastTT reports a 5.2 watt aerodynamic saving over the 2.0 system.
This means riders already familiar with the comfort and support of the FastTT concept can now achieve an even cleaner and faster cockpit configuration.
2.1 vs 2.0
FastTT 2.0
Proven integrated carbon triathlon aerobar
Extended forearm and elbow support
Highly adjustable fit
Universal Bolt & Ride mounting concept
Designed to reduce airflow disruption around traditional cups and extensions
FastTT 2.1
Builds on the 2.0 platform
New aerodynamic mounting system
Cleaner cockpit integration
Reduced exposed mounting hardware
Claimed 5.2 W saving over the 2.0 mounting setup
DESIGNED FOR LONG-DISTANCE TRIATHLON
FastTT Triathlon Aero Bars provide extra-long forearm support to distribute pressure across a much larger surface area than conventional elbow cups.
This allows riders to maintain an aerodynamic position for longer while reducing the pressure concentration normally placed on the elbows and forearms.
The slim side profile is shaped to follow the rider’s hands, forearms and elbows closely, reducing the gaps that interrupt airflow with traditional cup-and-extension systems. Your existing 2.0 page also cites independent testing showing an 11–16 W saving over standard cups and extension poles at 43–50 km/h.
For Ironman, 70.3 and long-course triathlon, this combination of aerodynamic performance and support is particularly valuable because a fast position only works if the athlete can hold it.
AERODYNAMIC FOREARM INTEGRATION
Traditional aerobars typically have a separate elbow cup, extension tube and grip.
FastTT approaches the cockpit differently.
The hand, wrist, forearm and elbow sit within one continuous sculpted carbon structure.
This helps reduce exposed gaps around the arms while also supporting the rider through a much larger section of the forearm. FastTT’s current 2.0 system specifically describes this close-fitting profile as a way of reducing airflow disruption around the arms and improving stability in crosswinds.
HIGHLY ADJUSTABLE FIT
Aero performance depends heavily on the rider position, so FastTT is designed around extensive fit adjustment.
Depending on the bike and mounting hardware used, the system allows significant:
Forward and backward adjustment
Arm-width adjustment
Hand-width adjustment
Inward and outward aerobar rotation
Stack adjustment
Tilt adjustment with compatible FastTT riser systems
Additional reach adjustment using optional extender plates
The existing FastTT mounting system allows up to 40° inward/outward adjustment, giving athletes considerable freedom to fine-tune elbow width and hand position.
Bike-specific adapter plates are available for a wide range of mono-riser and twin-post bikes.
Please contact us with your exact bike model before ordering and we can specify the correct mounting system.
BIKE-SPECIFIC FITMENT
FastTT can be adapted to a wide range of triathlon bikes using dedicated adapter plates, universal mounting systems and FastTT riser hardware.
Available solutions include bikes using:
Mono-riser cockpits
Twin-post cockpits
Profile Design systems
Integrated triathlon cockpits
Standard mounting configurations
Dedicated adapters are also available for specific bikes such as the Scott Plasma 6, Trek Speed Concept, Canyon Speedmax, Specialized Shiv, Cervélo and others.
Contact us before ordering and we can confirm the complete setup required for your bike.
FASTTT TRI BAR SIZING GUIDE
Correct sizing is critical for comfort, control and aerodynamic performance.
How to Measure
Bend your arm to approximately 90°.
Measure from the first joint of your little finger to the rear of your elbow bone.
Use the measurement below to select your FastTT bar size. Your current FastTT sizing information lists:
Small
330 mm / 13 inches and shorter
Medium
330–365 mm
13–14.4 inches
Large
365–400 mm
14.4–15.8 inches
X Large
400 mm / 15.8 inches and longer
Between Sizes?
If you fall between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger option.
A slightly longer FastTT bar is usually preferable to a bar that does not provide enough forearm support.
ELECTRONIC SHIFTING COMPATIBILITY
The current FastTT 2.0 platform supports electronic shifting systems including:
Shimano Di2
SRAM electronic shifting
Campagnolo electronic shifting
It is not intended for traditional mechanical bar-end shifting.
Please select your shifting system when ordering so the correct configuration can be supplied.
COMPUTER MOUNT
The FastTT system includes an adjustable computer mounting solution designed for Garmin and Wahoo head units.
The mount can be adjusted so the computer remains aligned even when the aerobars are rotated inward or outward as part of the rider’s fit.
Additional computer-tower options are also available for riders using narrow hand positions or high-hand configurations.
HYDRATION OPTIONS
FastTT offers a range of BTA, or between-the-arms, hydration solutions allowing the bottle position to be integrated closely with the cockpit.
Options include:
Standard BTA mounting
Raised BTA tower systems
Twin-stack / dual-bottle solutions
Narrow-arm BTA configurations
Additional BTA height spacers
FastTT currently offers dedicated BTA tower and twin-bottle hardware as part of its cockpit accessory range.
Contact us if you would like a complete hydration package supplied with your bars.
INCLUDED
Depending on the final bike-specific configuration, the FastTT aerobar package includes the core bar system and required mounting hardware.
The current 2.0 package includes:
Left and right integrated carbon aerobar units
EVA forearm/elbow pads
Mounting brackets and bolts
Adjustable Garmin/Wahoo computer mount
Anti-seize compound
One appropriate mounting-bracket option is included with the current FastTT bar system.
Additional bike-specific adapter plates, risers, spacers, extender plates and hydration equipment may be required depending on your bike and desired position.
NEED HELP CHOOSING YOUR SETUP?
FastTT is not a one-size-fits-all cockpit.
The correct configuration depends on:
Bike model
Cockpit type
Rider measurements
Current pad stack and reach
Desired aerobar angle
Hydration setup
Shifting system
Intended race distance
